“The Traveling Holga in the Bay Area.  My theme for the images is shadow play.
The first set is with my “Giving Tree” that represents our mild winters.  The same wall will be a different picture in a few weeks.  We also took a walk in downtown Hayward where I love the afternoon light by the bust stop.
The second set were taken at home as I waited for a sunny day and my boy to be home. I love the light that streams through his room and was curious to see how the Holga would handle it.
The last set of images are with a model in San Francisco playing with the light.”

  • Shannon Wilkinson - These are insane! I love every last one of them and The Giving Tree is one of our absolute favorite books. I love that you incorporated it into your turn with the Holga.ReplyCancel

  • Gina Weathersby - First, if I didn’t know where you lived, I’d say you came to my neighborhood to photograph the first image with the vines crawling up the wall. I have it’s wall twin here;)

All the images – so wonderful!
The shadow play – the b/w is such a perfect way to show the tonal ranges.

    Beautiful work Alpana.ReplyCancel
